Overview
LX-Factor is built on the foundation of Yepa®, a platform designed to make learning practices and working experiences visible, analyzable and actionable. Yepa was created to help learners reflect on their Personal Learning Environment (PLE) composed of own strategies, tools, media, values, and social resources, knowledges and competencies based on a structured method (MEPA) rooted in educational science.
With LX-Factor, Yepa enters a new dimension: the project seeks to transform this human-centered method into a scalable, AI-powered learning companion. At the core of the innovation is the belief that recognising and sharing learning experiences improves not only educational outcomes, but also empowerment and quality of life.
What LX-Factor Develops
LX-Factor integrates three interlinked AI components into the Yepa solution:
- A Conversational Agent
A chatbot that guides users through a reflective dialogue, eliciting what people do, how, with which resources in which situations. This interview method is nor more accessible uniquely by a formation, but disponible for everyone through the conversational agent. - Automated LX Graph Modeling
Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques map these dialogues to a structured ontology, visualising the learner’s environment and strategies as a graph. This long time consuming process is done instantaneousely by the IA, as good as researchers would do it. - A Recommendation Engine
Using Graph Neural Networks (GNN), the system recommends tools, people, strategies or goals tailored to the learner’s profile and context. Moreover, it recommends learning and working situations, to inspire people through le parcours from others.
Each component builds on Yepa’s core ontology, ensuring coherence and pedagogical robustness.
